Electrical Project Manager / Estimator - Low Voltage - RCDD certification desired

Position Overview

Our client is a well-established electrical contractor specializing in commercial and industrial electrical construction. They are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager / Estimator to join their team and play a key role in both project management and preconstruction activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who enjoys being involved from the estimating and bidding process through project completion. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of electrical construction, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial and industrial electrical construction projects.
• Review plans, specifications, bid documents, and scope of work to identify project requirements and potential issues.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
• Develop detailed material and labor takeoffs and prepare bid proposals.
• Manage electrical projects from contract award through completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls.
• Coordinate with customers, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Monitor project progress, financial performance, change orders, and overall profitability.
• Review project drawings and specifications and communicate scope requirements to field personnel.
• Assist with procurement, material coordination, and project documentation.
• Identify potential project risks and develop solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Participate in project meetings and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Support business development efforts by developing relationships with customers and identifying future project opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical construction.
• Previous experience with electrical estimating and project management.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction methods, materials, labor requirements, and project sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Experience preparing estimates, takeoffs, bids, and change orders.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction-related software.
• Experience with estimating platforms such as Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, or similar is a plus.
• Electrical field experience, Journeyman/Master Electrician license, or formal electrical construction training is a plus.
