Laser Machine Operator | Program the Cut, Own the Result
A good laser cut starts before the machine runs. You need to read the print, check the job traveler, program the work, and catch problems before they become scrap.
I’m recruiting for an on-site role in a fabrication shop where jobs vary and the laser operator stays involved from setup through finished parts. You’ll program, set up, and operate the laser cutter. You’ll also operate rollers, brake presses, and polishing equipment as jobs require.
You’ll work with project managers, drafters, the shop foreman, and the team lead to clarify requirements and keep work moving. You’ll track material for your machines, follow shop processes, and keep your equipment and work area clean.
The role requires:
• Five years of machining experience.• At least one year of Mastercam experience and the ability to program in it.• Completion of a machining program at an accredited trade school.• Ability to read blueprints, verify measurements, and work accurately from a job traveler.
CNC programming, 3D modeling, and SolidWorks experience are useful. You should be comfortable moving throughout the department, handling parts, stooping or kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
