Associate Attorney – Personal Injury

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Overview Seeking an Associate Attorney to handle plaintiff-side personal injury matters, including wrongful death, nursing home abuse, and medical malpractice. This role will manage cases from pre-litigation through trial, handle court appearances and hearings, negotiate settlements, and provide strong client-focused representation.

The Opportunity

• Handle personal injury, wrongful death, and medical malpractice.
• Manage cases from initial claims through litigation and trial.
• Conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and settlement conferences.
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, discovery, and legal briefs.
• Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients throughout the legal process.
• Conduct client and witness interviews and maintain strong client communication.
• Work with paralegals, experts, and other team members on case strategy and trial preparation.
• Represent clients in probate/conservatorship matters when needed.
• Stay current on Arizona law, court procedures, and relevant case law.

Ideal Candidate

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the Arizona State Bar.
• 3+ years of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience.
• Experience with depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines.
• Professional judgment, strong communication skills, and a client-focused approach.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
