Manufacturing Manager Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to provide leadership and oversight of manufacturing operations, production personnel, and facility support functions. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, high-quality production while supporting continuous improvement, employee development, facility operations, and overall business objectives.
The Manufacturing Manager will lead production activities, establish performance standards, oversee process improvement initiatives, manage departmental budgets, and ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide overall leadership and management of manufacturing operations and facility support functions to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
· Supervise, coach, and develop production and facilities personnel, including establishing priorities, assigning work, monitoring performance, and providing training as needed.
· Direct day-to-day production operations, including planning, scheduling, prioritization, and coordination of resources to meet production objectives.
· Establish and monitor operational performance standards related to quality, productivity, yield, cycle time, and on-time production.
· Lead continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
· Evaluate and audit manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement and implement enhancements as appropriate.
· Monitor departmental expenses and maintain operations within established budgets.
· Develop, manage, and oversee departmental budgets and capital equipment requirements.
· Evaluate and justify capital equipment and technology investments based on operational needs and business objectives.
· Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex manufacturing, equipment, and process-related issues.
· Support the implementation and adoption of new manufacturing technologies, processes, and equipment.
· Coordinate materials and resources to support timely and efficient production.
· Maintain appropriate point-of-use inventory levels and ensure materials are available to support manufacturing operations.
· Oversee facility support systems and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure reliable operation of essential infrastructure and equipment.
· Ensure manufacturing and facility operations comply with applicable OSHA, environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
· Oversee applicable environmental and hazardous materials/waste management programs.
· Participate in company-wide quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Develop and implement employee training, development, and career progression programs.
· Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development to employees.
· Conduct regular team meetings to communicate operational priorities, review performance, and address issues.
· Complete employee performance evaluations in a timely and effective manner.
· Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
· Maintain responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others by consistently following established safety policies and procedures.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site leadership position within a manufacturing environment. The role requires regular interaction with production personnel, facility operations, and other internal stakeholders.
