SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER – COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION

A respected and established construction organization is looking for a Senior Project Manager to take ownership of high-level commercial construction projects and play a key role in project strategy, execution and client relationships.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Take overall ownership of commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, buyout and procurement
  • Oversee project financials, forecasting, billing, cost tracking and profitability
  • Lead coordination between owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors and field teams
  • Drive preconstruction efforts including estimating, constructability, value engineering and planning
  • Lead project meetings including OAC, kickoff and subcontractor coordination meetings
  • Review plans, specifications and contracts while identifying potential risks and opportunities
  • Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals and other project documentation
  • Address project challenges involving design, schedule, cost and contractual requirements
  • Maintain strong relationships with owners and key project stakeholders
  • Hold subcontractors and trade partners accountable for performance and commitments
  • Partner closely with Superintendents and field leadership throughout construction
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers, APMs and Project Engineers
  • Ensure projects meet established safety, quality, schedule and financial objectives

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 10+ years of commercial construction project management experience
  • Proven experience working for a General Contractor
  • Background managing complex commercial projects and/or multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of preconstruction, estimating, contracts, scheduling and project closeout
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project financials, budgets and profitability
  • Strong contract, subcontractor and change-order management experience
  • Confident client-facing and leadership abilities
  • Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Office
