Structural Steel Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Project Manager to oversee structural steel projects from contract award through completion. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing fabrication and erection projects and be comfortable coordinating with customers, detailers, fabricators, erectors, and field teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage structural steel projects from start to finish.
- Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with customers, general contractors, detailers, fabricators, and erection crews.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and documentation.
- Track material procurement, fabrication, delivery, and erection progress.
- Monitor project costs and overall profitability.
- Attend project meetings and provide regular updates to customers and internal teams.
- Identify and resolve project issues to keep work moving on schedule.
- Coordinate closely with the shop and field to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on time.
- Maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing structural steel projects.
- Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection.
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications.
- Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
