Project Manager – Federal Construction

A startup general contractor is seeking a Project Manager with federal construction experience to join its team at the ground floor. This is an opportunity to take ownership of project delivery, work directly with company leadership, and help shape how the business operates as it grows.

The Role

  • Manage federal construction projects from award through closeout.
  • Oversee budgets, schedules, contracts, procurement, and subcontractor performance.
  • Coordinate with superintendents, quality control, safety personnel, and government representatives.
  • Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, reporting, and project documentation.
  • Help develop the processes and standards that will support the company’s growth.
  • Travel to project sites as required.

What You Bring

  • Experience managing federal construction projects for a general contractor.
  • Familiarity with federal contract requirements, government documentation, and quality control procedures.
  • Strong financial management, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination skills.
  • The ability to work independently, solve problems, and follow through.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and interest in helping build a growing business.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites.
