PEMB Structural Design Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer to design and engineer pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) structures. The ideal candidate will have strong structural engineering experience and an active P.E. license.
This position can be worked remotely.
Responsibilities
- Design and engineer PEMB structures from concept through completion
- Perform structural calculations and analysis for steel building systems
- Review project plans, specifications, and structural requirements
- Prepare and review structural drawings and details
- Coordinate with architects, fabricators, detailers, and project teams
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes and industry standards
- Review shop drawings and provide technical support throughout fabrication and erection
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving structural design issues
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation and project records
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
- Experience designing PEMB structures or similar steel building systems
- Strong understanding of structural steel design and applicable building codes
- Ability to perform structural calculations and analysis
- Proficiency with structural engineering/design software; specific software platform is open
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
