Job Snapshot

Job Description

Irrigation Manager

You know irrigation. Now you want to run the operation.

This isn't a position where you'll spend your day sitting behind a desk reviewing reports.

We're looking for someone who can take ownership of an irrigation operation: crews, equipment, schedules, customers, quality, safety and getting the work done right.

You'll be the person connecting the plan with what actually happens in the field.

What you'll own

  • Day-to-day irrigation operations and production
  • Weekly scheduling, crew assignments and equipment
  • Crew leadership, training and accountability
  • Labor hours, productivity and project performance
  • Job-site quality and safety
  • Equipment and material planning
  • Customer communication and project updates
  • Coordination with sales and other operational teams
  • Documentation and billing information
  • Identifying ways to make the operation more efficient

This role needs someone comfortable moving between leading people, solving field problems and managing the business side of the operation.

We're looking for

  • 4+ years of irrigation experience
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Pivot irrigation experience is a strong plus
  • Experience operating and maintaining irrigation equipment
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead and develop crews
  • CDL and ability to obtain/maintain required DOT medical certification
  • Someone who takes ownership instead of waiting to be told what to do

This is an outdoor, hands-on leadership position. Travel between job sites and additional hours during busy seasons should be expected.

The person who succeeds here will be able to balance five things:

People. Production. Safety. Quality. Customers.

If that's how you already think about running an operation, I'd like to talk.

Interested? Send me a resume or message me directly for a confidential conversation.
