Job Snapshot

Job Description

A growing architecture firm in Chicago is seeking a Project Architect to join its team and take an active role in projects from early design through construction.

This is a strong opportunity for an architect who enjoys both the design and technical sides of the profession and is ready to take greater ownership of projects, coordinate with clients and consultants, and help guide junior team members.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead projects through schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration

  • Produce and oversee high-quality architectural documentation in Revit

  • Coordinate with structural, MEP, civil, and other project consultants

  • Work directly with clients, contractors, and internal project teams

  • Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and other construction-phase documentation

  • Help maintain project schedules, quality standards, and deliverables

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architectural staff

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–10+ years of professional architecture experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture

  • Illinois architectural license preferred; candidates actively pursuing licensure will be considered

  • Strong Revit proficiency

  • Experience producing and coordinating construction documents

  • Working knowledge of building codes and construction practices

  • Experience across multiple phases of architectural projects

  • Strong communication, organization, and consultant-coordination skills

  • Ability to take ownership of projects while working collaboratively with a team

Why Consider It?

You’ll join a collaborative Chicago team where you can have a meaningful impact on projects rather than being limited to one phase of the process. The firm offers competitive compensation, benefits, professional development, and a clear opportunity to continue growing into greater project and leadership responsibility.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
