East Bay Labor & Employment Attorney: Big-Firm Work, Better Balance

We are working with a top-tier international law firm that is adding a Labor & Employment Attorney with 3+ years of experience to its Walnut Creek, California office. Attorneys enjoy a flexible hybrid schedule, typically coming into the office a couple of days a week to collaborate.

This is a management-side role, and plaintiff-side attorneys looking to switch sides will be considered. It is an ideal fit for an employment lawyer who wants sophisticated work, long-term stability, and a genuine partner track.

What You'll Do

• Provide day-to-day advice to employers on policies, contracts, compensation, leaves, discipline, and terminations
• Defend employers in wage-and-hour litigation and PAGA claims
• Assist with classic labor matters, including grievances, arbitrations, and organizing campaigns
• Research complex employment issues and draft polished written work product

What We're Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active member of the State Bar of California in good standing
• 3+ years of labor and employment experience
• Wage-and-hour and PAGA experience required
• Strong academic background; big-firm experience preferred
• Meticulous attention to detail and excellent writing and research skills
• A collaborative, positive, team-player approach
