A community bank in Des Moines is confidentially hiring an experienced Mortgage Loan Officer to serve homebuyers across the Des Moines metro. You'll take purchase and refinance clients from application to closing with a bank that keeps lending decisions local.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with borrowers and explain mortgage options clearly
• Help applicants put together complete, accurate loan files
• Review credit and assess risk against bank guidelines
• Make approve or decline recommendations within policy
• Visit properties when a file calls for it
• Keep up with local home prices, inventory and rates
• Build referral relationships with realtors and builders

Qualifications:

• Mortgage lending experience in this market
• Working knowledge of FHA, VA and conventional/Fannie Mae guidelines
• Comfortable with Word, Excel and MS Office
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business
• 5+ years of mortgage experience preferred
