A community bank in Iowa City is confidentially seeking a seasoned Mortgage Loan Officer to work with homebuyers throughout the Iowa City and Coralville area. You'll guide purchase and refinance borrowers from first conversation through closing, supported by local decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with borrowers and explain mortgage options clearly
• Help applicants put together complete, accurate loan files
• Review credit and assess risk against bank guidelines
• Make approve or decline recommendations within policy
• Visit properties when a file calls for it
• Keep up with local home prices, inventory and rates
• Build referral relationships with realtors and builders

Qualifications:

• Mortgage lending experience in this market
• Working knowledge of FHA, VA and conventional/Fannie Mae guidelines
• Comfortable with Word, Excel and MS Office
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business
• 5+ years of mortgage experience preferred
