Superintendent – Commercial Construction

Location: Chicago area

A commercial general contractor in the Chicago area is looking for a Superintendent for local commercial projects. This is field leadership work with a local-only portfolio, so you can run strong jobs and still be home every night.

What You'll Do

• Run day-to-day field operations on commercial projects across the area
• Lead and coordinate trade partners to keep work safe, on schedule, and on quality
• Own the site safety program and set the tone for a safe jobsite
• Create and update look-ahead schedules with the Project Manager
• Handle inspections, punch lists, and closeout
• Keep clear daily reports and communication with the project team

What You Bring

• Several years of superintendent experience on commercial projects with a GC
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and scheduling
• A safety-first mindset (OSHA 30 is a plus)
• Leadership skills to keep trades organized and motivated
• Solid problem-solving skills and a calm head when things change
