A respected commercial general contractor serving Chicago's northwest suburbs is adding a Senior Project Manager to lead its larger and more complex projects. You'll own your jobs from preconstruction through closeout, guide project teams, and be the go-to contact for owners and design partners.
What You'll Do
- Lead multiple commercial projects, typically $20M+, from preconstruction through closeout
- Own budgets, forecasts, schedules, and monthly cost reporting
- Negotiate subcontracts and change orders and manage buyout
- Mentor project managers, project engineers, and assistant PMs
- Build strong relationships with owners, architects, and engineers
- Work closely with field leadership to keep projects safe, on schedule, and built right
What You Bring
- 8+ years of project management experience with a commercial general contractor
- A history of delivering large projects profitably and on time
- Strong command of contracts, cost control, and risk management
- Experience leading and developing project teams
- Proficiency with Procore, MS Project, or P6
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
