Job Description

Take ownership of growth for an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector focused on large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. This permanent full-time Business Development Manager role offers $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives and involves Midwest travel.

What you'll own

• Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector in front of clients and across the industry
• Lead pursuits for structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
• Build steel erection relationships with owners and general contractors across the Midwest
• Travel the Midwest to keep pursuits on track and win new work
• Track competitors, bid timing, and the regional project pipeline

Must-haves

• Sales or business development experience in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Experience winning large-tonnage Midwest projects
• A general contractor, fabricator, or owner network is preferred
• Comfortable traveling throughout the Midwest
• Clear communicator with a strong closing record
