Job Description

Join an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector as its Business Development Manager and help win large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. The job is permanent and full-time, pays $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, and includes Midwest travel.

Responsibilities

• Watch competitor activity, bid windows, and Midwest project forecasts
• Develop steel erection opportunities with general contractors and owners across the region
• Manage pursuits on large structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
• Travel throughout the Midwest to build relationships and advance pursuits
• Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector to clients and industry partners

Preferred background

• Business development or sales experience in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Success pursuing large Midwest projects by tonnage
• Relationships with general contractors, fabricators, or owners a plus
• Able to travel across the Midwest
• Strong communicator who converts pipeline into awards
