Job Description

Use your steel construction relationships to grow an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector on large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. This permanent full-time Business Development Manager job pays $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives and requires Midwest travel.

Scope of the role

• Travel across the Midwest to win work and build client relationships
• Lead pursuits on structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
• Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector at client meetings and industry events
• Develop steel erection opportunities with owners and general contractors around the Midwest
• Keep a current view of competitors, bid timing, and project pipelines

Qualifications

• Business development or sales experience in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Proven ability to win large-tonnage Midwest projects
• Relationships with general contractors, fabricators, or owners preferred
• Open to Midwest travel
• Clear communicator who closes pipeline opportunities
