A growing steel fabrication shop in Katy, TX, on the west side of Houston, needs a safety professional to drive safety across its shop floor, with about 10 hours of overtime each week.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out audits and inspections and correct any hazards
• Oversee day-to-day safety programs in the fabrication shop
• Investigate incidents and keep OSHA documentation and records up to date
• Deliver new-hire orientations, safety trainings and toolbox talks
• Work with shop leadership to build a strong culture of safety

Qualifications

• Background in safety within a construction, fabrication or manufacturing environment
• Comfort on a shop floor and strong communication skills
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards
• Able to work on-site in Katy, TX, with about 10 hours of overtime each week
