Job Description

An established structural steel team near Pearland is adding an experienced Tekla Detailer/Checker. You'll create and check structural and miscellaneous steel shop and erection drawings for commercial and industrial work, and the drawings you sign off on go right to the shop floor.

What you'll do

• Detail and model structural and miscellaneous steel in Tekla Structures
• Review shop, erection, and assembly drawings for accuracy and constructability
• Work through RFIs and revisions with project managers, engineers, and fabricators
• Make sure every drawing meets AISC standards and project specs
• Mentor junior detailers and keep drawing quality consistent

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of structural steel detailing experience in Tekla Structures
• Checking experience strongly preferred
• Solid grasp of AISC standards, connections, and fabrication practices
• Sharp attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects

Compensation & benefits

• $100K–$130K based on experience
