A long-established Texas law firm is hiring an associate with 1-3 years of complex commercial litigation experience for its growing Houston litigation team. This is a partnership-track role built for an ambitious associate who wants to accelerate their development through in-person mentorship and steadily increasing responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Take an active role in all aspects of litigation, from pleadings and discovery through motions and trial preparation
- Handle high-stakes commercial litigation and oil and gas matters in Texas state and federal courts
- Work closely with partners on case strategy, with hands-on mentoring along the way
- Draft motions, briefs, and discovery, and conduct legal research and analysis
Requirements
- 1-3 years of complex commercial litigation experience
- Licensed to practice law in Texas, in good standing
- Strong academic record, with excellent analytical and writing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Judicial clerkship preferred, but not required

Full-time, primarily in person in a downtown Houston office.
