About the Role

A well-established law firm is looking for an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its team right away. Incoming work is strong, so the firm needs a seasoned litigator who can step into an active caseload and manage files on their own from day one. This is not an entry-level role. You'll help manage an established docket and work closely with firm leadership. The firm hopes to have someone start within the next couple of weeks.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full insurance defense caseload on your own, from intake through trial
• Handle automobile accident, premises liability and other insurance defense litigation for major carriers
• Help move existing matters forward with very little ramp-up time
• Take cases to trial, including as first chair
• Help firm leadership manage and strategize caseloads

Qualifications

• 5 years of litigation experience, with a strong insurance defense background
• Trial experience is required, ideally including several trials as first chair
• Able to manage cases independently and hit the ground running
• Admitted to practice in Massachusetts
• Lives within a reasonable commute of Southeastern MA
