Chicago, IL | Full Time, Permanent | $130,000 to $170,000

About the Company

gpac partners with well established commercial mechanical contractors in the Chicago market performing HVAC, plumbing and piping work on commercial and industrial projects.

About the Role

The Senior Project Manager leads larger and more complex HVAC construction projects and mentors project staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical projects from preconstruction through closeout

• Own project budgets, cost control and monthly forecasting

• Build and maintain project schedules

• Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders and pay applications

• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors and field leadership

• Maintain strong relationships with general contractors and owners

• Mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers

Required

• 7+ years of HVAC or mechanical project management experience on commercial, institutional or industrial projects

• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, construction methods and contracts

• Experience managing budgets, forecasts and profitability

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or a related field

• OSHA 30

• Experience with project management software

Compensation and Benefits

• $130,000 to $170,000, based on experience
