Tax Manager / Senior Manager - High Net Worth

Location: Westlake Village, CA

Overview

A respected California-based tax, audit and advisory firm serving private and public companies, high-net-worth individuals and family offices is seeking a Tax Manager or Senior Manager for its high-net-worth practice in Westlake Village. The firm offers a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax compliance and advisory services to high-net-worth individuals and their closely related businesses, trusts and exempt organizations
• Lead teams of seniors and staff accountants and oversee engagement planning and scheduling
• Research complex tax issues and ensure quality of work product
• Monitor workflow and communicate progress to partners
• Coach and mentor team members with formal and informal feedback
• Develop strong relationships with clients and prospects and advise on income tax issues and planning

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting; Master's in Tax a plus
• CPA certificate
• Minimum 5 years of tax experience with a strong technical background in high-net-worth individual taxation
• Strong organizational, management, written and oral communication skills
• Ability to explain complex tax matters in business language and thrive in a fast-paced environment
