Job Description

A community bank in Fairfield is seeking a Credit Analyst to support its loan officers across Jefferson County and southeast Iowa. You'll work hand in hand with lenders on underwriting and risk ratings, with a path toward lending or senior credit.

Responsibilities:

• Spread financial statements and tax returns for business and farm borrowers
• Analyze and assign risk ratings to new and existing credits
• Prepare credit memos for loan officers and loan committee
• Pitch in on month-end, regulatory, and portfolio reports
• Keep loan files consistent with policy and exam standards
• Help train newer staff on credit processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• At least a year of credit analysis at a bank preferred
• Comfortable with Excel and financial modeling
• Works well alongside loan officers
• Interested in growing into lending or credit leadership
