Job Description

A respected commercial general contractor in the Dallas–Fort Worth area is adding an Assistant Project Manager to its team in the McKinney area. This is a great fit for someone who has a couple of years under their belt and is ready to take on more ownership while learning from experienced project leaders.

What You'll Do

• Support project managers on commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Manage submittals, RFIs and project documentation
• Help build and track budgets, change orders and buyout
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and the field team to keep work moving
• Attend owner, architect and subcontractor meetings and keep minutes and action items
• Help prepare schedules, pay applications and closeout packages

What You Bring

• 2+ years of experience as an Assistant PM or Project Engineer with a general contractor
• Working knowledge of commercial construction documents and processes
• Comfort with Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam or similar tools
• Strong organization and clear, friendly communication
• A degree in construction management, engineering or a related field is a plus
