I'm partnering with a well-established, family-owned roofing and exteriors contractor based in the Aurora area. They have thousands of completed projects across Chicagoland, they're certified by top manufacturers, and they're known for treating homeowners and team members like family. They're growing and need a hands-on Residential Roofing Superintendent / Project Manager to own production from contract to final walkthrough.
What You'll Do
- Lead residential roof replacements and repairs from start to finish across Aurora, Naperville, Oswego, St. Charles, Batavia, Plainfield and the surrounding suburbs
- Manage in-house crews and subcontractors: daily assignments, start times, productivity and accountability
- Build and adjust the production schedule around weather, permits and material deliveries so jobs start on time and close out clean
- Order and coordinate materials (shingles, underlayment, flashing, ventilation, gutters and sheet metal) and verify deliveries against the scope
- Run quality control on every job: tear-off, decking, ice and water, flashing details, ventilation and final punch to meet manufacturer warranty standards
- Be the homeowner's go-to person, with clear updates before, during and after the job, plus spotless cleanup and a proud final walkthrough
- Support storm and insurance restoration work as needed, including documenting conditions and scope and coordinating supplements with the sales team
- Coordinate related exterior scopes like siding, gutters and sheet metal when they're part of the project
- Champion jobsite safety: fall protection, ladder safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every roof
What You Bring
- 3+ years of residential roofing experience as a superintendent, project manager, production manager or lead foreman
- A proven record of leading crews and subcontractors and keeping multiple jobs moving at once
- Solid knowledge of asphalt shingle systems (GAF, Owens Corning, CertainTeed or similar) and manufacturer installation and warranty requirements
- Comfort with steep-slope work, ventilation, flashing details and repair diagnostics
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for daily site visits
- Strong communication skills with homeowners, crews and the office; bilingual English/Spanish is a big plus
- Experience with insurance and storm restoration and with siding or gutters is a bonus
