I'm partnering with a well-established construction company that is looking to add a Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting from its office in the western Chicago suburbs.
They're looking for a finance leader who can own the close, job costing, WIP and reporting, and who wants a clear path to advance as the company grows.
What You'll Do
• Lead the monthly, quarterly and year-end close
• Own job costing, WIP schedules and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition
• Prepare financial statements and reports for ownership
• Manage cash flow forecasting and budgeting
• Oversee AP, AR, payroll and billing, and coordinate audits with outside CPAs
• Support bonding and banking relationships with timely financials
What You Bring
• Construction accounting leadership experience (GC or specialty contractor)
• Strong command of job costing, WIP and construction revenue recognition
• CPA preferred; degree in accounting or finance
• Experience with a construction ERP system
• Clear communicator with project and executive teams
• Drive to grow into a senior finance leadership role
