Our client, an established, employee-owned civil engineering, surveying and planning firm, was recently awarded several large transportation and municipal projects, including one lasting 3 years. They have an immediate need for 2 Construction Project Managers in Southeast Michigan to lead construction engineering and inspection teams.
What you'll do:
- Lead construction engineering/inspection on road, bridge, water main, sewer and stormwater projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets and staffing of field inspection teams
- Serve as the main contact for municipal, county and MDOT clients, contractors and agencies
- Oversee contract administration: pay estimates, change orders, RFIs, submittals and quantity tracking
- Ensure QA/QC, documentation and compliance with plans, specs and State/Federal (LAP) requirements
- Maintain client relationships and support new business
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years of construction project management experience on public infrastructure
- PE preferred (Michigan PE or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Working knowledge of MDOT specifications, FieldManager/FieldBook and LAP project delivery
- Strong leadership, communication and client-service skills; valid driver's license
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
