Legal Docketing Specialist

Walnut Creek, CA (On-site) | $63,000–$75,000 per year | Full-time

A well-regarded Walnut Creek law firm is hiring a Legal Docketing Specialist to keep its attorneys on schedule. You'll own the firm's calendar of court deadlines, hearings, and filings, and make sure nothing gets missed.

What You'll Do

• Calculate and calendar court deadlines, hearings, and filing dates under California and federal rules
• Review incoming court notices, e-service, and correspondence, and docket them promptly
• Maintain the firm's docketing system and keep records accurate and current
• Send deadline reminders to attorneys and staff, and confirm tasks are covered
• Monitor court dockets and electronic filing systems for updates
• Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants on scheduling questions

What You Bring

• 2+ years of legal docketing or calendaring experience in a law firm
• Working knowledge of California and federal court rules for deadline calculation
• Experience with docketing software and e-filing systems
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
