Date Posted: 24 October 2026

Job Snapshot

Job Description

Silicon Valley was one of the first places data centers took off, and the South Bay around Milpitas is still packed with expansions, retrofits and new high-density builds. A respected general contractor is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead mission-critical work here. If you enjoy technically tough projects, tight urban sites and a team that genuinely looks out for each other, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Lead data center projects from preconstruction and buyout through commissioning, energization and owner turnover

• Own budgets, forecasts, contracts, change orders and monthly billing, and keep the financial picture clear for everyone

• Serve as the go-to partner for colocation and hyperscale owners, design teams and electrical and mechanical trade partners

• Plan and track long-lead equipment like switchgear, generators, UPS systems and cooling plants

• Partner with superintendents on safety, quality, site logistics and integrated systems testing

• Mentor project managers, project engineers and assistant PMs as they grow their careers

What You Bring

• Senior-level project management experience on commercial construction, including data center or mission-critical work (required)

• Strong understanding of critical power, cooling, MEP coordination and the commissioning process

• A track record of delivering complex projects safely, on schedule and on budget

• Friendly, straightforward communication and a talent for building trust with owners and field teams

• A degree in construction management, engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience

What We Offer

Salary range of $150,000–$200,000, plus bonus and benefits, a steady pipeline of mission-critical work across the Bay Area, and leadership that invests in your growth.
