Job Description

A well-established commercial general contractor in North Texas is looking for a Director of MEP to lead mechanical, electrical and plumbing coordination across its projects. You'll be the go-to MEP leader for complex, fast-moving work, including mission-critical and other systems-heavy buildings.

What You'll Do

• Lead MEP strategy from preconstruction through closeout across the project portfolio
• Review MEP scopes, budgets, bids and value engineering options with the preconstruction team
• Build strong relationships with MEP trade partners and help select the right subcontractors
• Support project teams on coordination, sequencing, commissioning and turnover
• Spot schedule and cost risks in MEP systems early and help teams solve them
• Mentor project managers and engineers on MEP best practices

What You Bring

• 10+ years of MEP experience with a general contractor, MEP contractor or owner
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in commercial construction
• Mission-critical, data center, healthcare or other systems-heavy project experience is a big plus
• Comfort working with owners, design teams and trade partners
• Clear communication and a hands-on, team-first leadership style
