Insurance Defense Attorney: Defend Insureds and Carriers in Gainesville

Our client, a well-established Florida defense firm, is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join its Gainesville office. The team defends individuals, businesses, and insurers in auto, premises liability, and general liability claims in state and federal courts.

This is a hybrid position. You will split your week between the Gainesville office and working from home.

What You'll Do

• Manage a caseload from claim assignment through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Take and defend depositions
• Prepare reports for carriers and clients
• Attend mediations, hearings, and trials

What We're Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Member of The Florida Bar in good standing
• 3+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience
• Excellent research, writing, and client communication skills
• Comfort working on a hybrid schedule
