Senior Tax Manager - Private Client Services

Location: Greenwich, CT

Overview

A global tax and advisory firm is seeking a Senior Tax Manager for its private client services practice in Greenwich, Connecticut. You will oversee multiple engagement teams serving sophisticated clients, which may include wealthy families, family offices, owner-operated businesses, alternative investment fund principals and trusts.

Responsibilities

• Engage in business development, including proposals, webinars and presenting comprehensive tax strategies to prospective and current clients
• Maintain client communication to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines and stay current on legislative changes
• Conduct primary and secondary review of complex federal and state tax returns
• Draft technical tax memoranda
• Supervise, train, mentor and evaluate associates and senior associates
• Build knowledge of wealth transfer techniques, charitable giving strategies and buy/sell agreement planning

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant accounting firm experience, including at least 5 years of private client experience
• Bachelor's and/or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field preferred
• CPA or JD (credential allowing representation before the IRS) required
• Self-starter able to succeed in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient use of technology
