Gpac is partnering with an established engineering firm to find a Senior Electrical Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA. You'll lead the design of electrical systems for building and infrastructure projects, including power distribution, lighting, and life safety systems. You'll guide project teams, mentor engineers, and serve as a technical lead for clients from design through construction.
Responsibilities:
- Design power distribution, lighting, grounding, and fire alarm systems
- Perform load, short circuit, and voltage drop calculations
- Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and design reports
- Coordinate with mechanical, structural, and architectural disciplines
- Support construction administration, including submittal reviews and site visits
- Mentor junior engineers and review deliverables for quality
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Significant electrical design experience, including leading projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Working knowledge of the NEC and applicable building codes
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
