Job Description

A well-established defense litigation firm is looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to support its insurance defense team. What You'll Do

• Prepare correspondence and pleadings
• Submit federal and state court filings
• Calendar and docket case deadlines
• Maintain the electronic files database
• Process incoming and outgoing mail
• Proofread and transcribe accurately

What You Bring

• 4+ years of defense litigation experience (required)
• 4+ years of insurance defense experience (required)
• Excellent proofreading and transcription skills
• Typing speed of at least 65 wpm
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Adobe
• CaseMap, TextMap or other document management software (a plus)
• Ability to work independently and in a confidential setting
