Tax Senior Manager

Location: San Antonio, TX

Overview

A large national assurance, tax and advisory CPA firm is seeking a Tax Senior Manager for its core tax services team in Texas, with San Antonio among the listed offices (hybrid, about 3 days per week in office). You will manage clients' tax compliance needs, anticipate tax and business issues, recognize tax planning opportunities, serve as the main point of contact for clients, and train and develop less experienced staff.

Responsibilities

• Solve problems for middle-market clients in industries such as manufacturing, real estate and construction, and professional services
• Manage engagements and provide knowledgeable review of complex individual and partnership returns
• Build and serve high net worth individual clients with estate, gift and trust tax planning and compliance needs
• Lead tax staff, seniors and managers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Deliver superior client service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; master's preferred
• Active CPA license required
• 7+ years of public accounting experience, including 2+ years of managerial experience
• Strong background in C and S corporation, LLC and partnership taxation, including pass-through entity taxation
• Partnership experience in entity structuring, operating agreement review, compliance, allocations and partner transactions preferred
• Complex individual and estate tax compliance and planning experience a plus
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
