Litigation Associate / Senior Associate: Run Your Own Cases Through Trial, Hybrid in New York City

Tired of doing the work while someone else stands up in court? Our client, a growing civil litigation firm, is looking for a Litigation Associate or Senior Associate with roughly 4 to 10 years of experience for its New York City office. You'll carry your own matters from the first filing all the way through trial, deal directly with clients and carriers, and help guide the junior attorneys on the team.

This is a hybrid role.

• Commercial litigation
• Real estate
• Construction
• Professional liability
• Employment practices liability (EPL)
• Directors and officers (D&O) liability
• Landlord-tenant
• Article 78 proceedings
• RPAPL 881
• Insurance coverage

What You'll Do

• Own your caseload from the start of each matter through trial, including strategy, deadlines and docket management
• Work hand in hand with clients and insurance carriers
• Take depositions, argue motions, and handle hearings and mediations
• Partner with senior attorneys while mentoring junior associates

What We're Looking For

• Active New York Bar admission in good standing (required)
• Roughly 4 to 10 years of litigation experience in one or more of the practice areas above
• Hands-on trial and deposition experience
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Federal district court admission is a plus

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary of $160,000 to $275,000, depending on experience
