Job Description

Mechanical Engineer

Seeking a Mechanical Engineer who enjoys taking custom equipment from first sketch to finished build. You'll partner with engineering, the shop floor and customers to turn ideas into practical designs that are cost-conscious and ready to build. This is an on-site role.

Responsibilities

• Model parts, assemblies and full machines in CAD
• Produce drawings, bills of materials and the documentation the shop needs to build
• Partner with production to fix technical problems and make designs better
• Help with prototype builds, testing and ongoing product upgrades
• Line up project needs with vendors, customers and other departments
• Make sure every design holds up on quality, safety and performance

Requirements

• At least 2 years of mechanical design work in a manufacturing setting
• Skilled in CAD and comfortable reading blueprints
• Strong command of materials, thermodynamics, fluid systems and machine design
• Practical knowledge of fabrication methods and manufacturing processes
• A natural troubleshooter who digs in and solves problems
• Keeps several projects moving at once and hits deadlines
