Tax Senior Manager - Asset Management

Location: Stamford, CT

Overview

A leading national middle-market audit, tax and consulting firm is seeking a Tax Senior Manager for its financial services tax practice, serving asset management clients with a focus on private equity funds, hedge funds and funds of funds. Stamford, Connecticut is among the listed offices; the role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex engagements, delivering high-value tax advice and expanding services to asset management clients
• Work through multiple complex issues and communicate them clearly to clients and service teams
• Drive growth by generating new revenue from existing clients, cross-selling and identifying new clients
• Serve as tax client service coordinator and execute the client service plan
• Advise clients on planning, research, compliance and general M&A activity
• Review research findings for consistency with professional standards
• Coordinate with specialty teams (state and local, international, M&A) to deliver integrated service
• May have people leadership responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
• 8+ years of business taxation experience with a Big 4 or large national, regional or local accounting firm (or equivalent)
• Active CPA, EA or attorney license
• Extensive tax compliance and consulting experience serving asset management clients
• Ability to manage and grow a book of business
• Advanced degree (MAcc, MST or MBA) preferred
