About the role

A well-regarded New Jersey law firm is seeking Of Counsel for its Bankruptcy, Financial Reorganization and Creditors' Rights practice in Newark. You will advise and represent clients across the full spectrum of restructuring and insolvency work, including Chapter 11 matters, workouts, and related litigation.

What you'll do

• Represent debtors, creditors, committees, trustees, lenders, and buyers of distressed assets
• Handle Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court workouts
• Advise on DIP financing, cash collateral, and related financing issues
• Prosecute and defend preference and fraudulent transfer actions
• Enforce rights under the UCC and related commercial remedies

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of law firm experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, or creditors' rights
• Deep Chapter 11 experience (required)
• Active New Jersey bar admission (required)
• New York bar admission, or the ability to obtain NY admission within one year of start
• A portable book of business is a plus, not required

Location: Newark, NJ (hybrid; 3+ days a week in office). Compensation: $280,000 – $310,000 annual base.
