Job Description

A growing law firm is seeking an Estate Planning & Probate Attorney to join its team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with individuals, families, and business owners on estate planning, wealth preservation, trust matters, and probate administration.

Responsibilities

  • Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related estate planning documents
  • Advise clients on estate planning, asset protection, and wealth transfer strategies
  • Conduct client consultations and develop customized estate plans
  • Represent clients in probate and estate administration matters
  • Assist with informal and formal probate proceedings
  • Prepare and file probate pleadings, petitions, inventories, accountings, and other court documents
  • Guide personal representatives, executors, and beneficiaries through the probate process
  • Handle estate administration, including creditor claims, asset distribution, and resolution of estate-related issues
  • Assist with trust administration and contested or complex estate matters
  • Review and update existing estate plans as needed
  • Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide ongoing legal guidance

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing with the state bar
  • 3+ years of estate planning and/or probate experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of trusts, estates, probate, and estate administration
  • Experience handling probate filings, court proceedings, and estate administration preferred
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and client service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
