A dynamic and leading law firm known for its excellence and innovation in legal services, is seeking a Medical Malpractice/General Liability Attorney to join its Litigation practice group in the firm’s Scranton, PA office location.

 

Experience: 3+  years in relevant practice experience in the areas of medical malpractice or general liability.

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Must be admitted to practice in PA (NY is a PLUS!)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, experience in discovery and pleadings

Responsibilities

  • As part of this highly collaborative team, you will take on meaningful responsibilities and have the opportunity to grow your career
  • Manage a diverse caseload, focused on medical malpractice claims, while ensuring all legal matters are handled efficiently and effectively
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys, team members, and partners on strategic legal projects, fostering strong teamwork and knowledge-sharing
  • Take ownership of important case-related activities, including attending court appearances, depositions, motion hearings, and other legal proceedings, including participation at trial
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing detailed case updates, managing client expectations, and offering proactive solutions
  • Draft and review complex legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and settlement agreements
  • Contribute to the development of case strategies and support senior team members in preparing for trials and settlement negotiations
