Job Description

A respected California firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3 to 10 years of experience to join its General Liability practice group. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated litigator to handle complex cases while benefiting from mentorship, professional growth, and a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of general liability defense matters from inception through resolution
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and discovery
• Conduct depositions, hearings, and case evaluations
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop effective litigation strategies
• Assist with trial preparation and, when applicable, trial work

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the California State Bar
• 3 to 10 years of litigation experience, preferably in general liability defense
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with a commitment to client service and professional growth

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually, depending on experience
• Discretionary bonus opportunities based on performance and firm profitability
