Insurance Defense Attorney

A well-established litigation firm in Orange County is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join its growing practice in Irvine. Attorneys are entrusted with meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to handle cases from inception through resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters through all phases of litigation
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research and prepare case evaluations
• Take and defend depositions
• Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and court appearances
• Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, experts, and opposing counsel
• Develop litigation strategies and manage case deadlines
• Work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff to achieve successful client outcomes

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience
• Insurance defense experience preferred
• Experience handling depositions and court appearances
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to independently manage an active caseload while working in a team-oriented environment

Salary: $165,000 – $235,000
