Family Law Attorney – New Jersey

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal counsel on family law matters including divorce, child custody, support, and adoption.

  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, contracts, and settlement agreements.

  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations.

  • Conduct thorough legal research and case analysis.

  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to manage caseloads efficiently.

  • Maintain strong client relationships through timely communication and exceptional service.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepare and organize case files, exhibits, and documentation.

  • Conduct client consultations and keep clients informed throughout the legal process.

  • Stay up-to-date with changes in family law legislation and case law.

  • Demonstrate attention to detail in drafting legal documents and correspondence.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

  • Active license to practice law in the state of New Jersey.

  • 3+ years of experience practicing family law.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.

  • A client-focused mindset and ability to manage sensitive family law issues with professionalism and care.
