Commercial Estimator in Colorado Springs

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Commercial Estimator to join our preconstruction team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing detailed cost estimates for K-12 schools, medical facilities, and commercial buildings. This individual must be comfortable reading plans, collaborating with project managers, and communicating with subcontractors and vendors to ensure accurate, competitive bids.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction estimating (commercial/K-12/healthcare preferred)
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes
• Proficient in reading blueprints, specs, and addenda
• Familiarity with estimating software (Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar)
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple estimates simultaneously
• Experience with CMAR, design-build, and hard-bid projects is a plus
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred (but not required with relevant experience)
