Construction Administrator

Are you a detail-oriented construction professional looking to support projects from concept to completion? Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Administrator to manage daily office operations and provide critical administrative support to project teams. The ideal candidate brings strong industry knowledge, excellent communication skills, and at least three years of construction administration experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction administration, project support, contract administration, or related construction services

  • Working knowledge of construction processes, codes, AIA documentation, and safety regulations

  • Basic accounting and bookkeeping skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project or construction management software

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail, time management, and communication abilities

Responsibilities

  • Support project managers with budget tracking, project scheduling, and ongoing communication

  • Handle permit applications and related documentation

  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers by preparing bid packages, scopes of work, and required construction documents

  • Manage construction contract administration and maintain submittal logs

  • Enforce quality-control standards to ensure compliance with contracts, building requirements, and code regulations

  • Assist with cash management, payroll processing, and billing tasks

  • Prepare project closeout documentation, including maintenance agreements, equipment details, warranties, and contractor contacts
