Job Description

Put your business development skills to work for an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector pursuing Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. This permanent full-time Business Development Manager job pays $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives and requires Midwest travel.

Key duties

• Cultivate owners and general contractors across the Midwest for steel erection opportunities
• Keep current on competitor activity, bid schedules, and project pipelines
• Lead pursuits on large structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
• Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector at client meetings and industry events
• Travel the Midwest to win work and build lasting relationships

Experience needed

• Business development or sales background in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Track record pursuing large-tonnage Midwest projects
• Contacts with general contractors, fabricators, or owners are preferred
• Comfortable with Midwest travel
• Effective communicator who turns pipeline into awarded work
