Job Description

Grow the client base of an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector that builds large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. The role is a permanent full-time Business Development Manager position at $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, with Midwest travel.

What you'll handle

• Travel the Midwest to meet clients, visit projects, and advance pursuits
• Develop steel erection business with owners and general contractors throughout the region
• Shape and run pursuits for structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
• Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector in client and industry settings
• Keep tabs on competitors, bid timing, and Midwest project pipelines

Qualifications

• BD or sales experience within steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Experience going after large Midwest tonnage projects
• Relationships with general contractors, fabricators, or owners preferred
• Open to traveling throughout the Midwest
• Strong communicator with a record of closing deals
